First Day of Preschool!

My baby has officially started Preschool! Yikes this is just the beginning of school - only 18 more years really! He had a great first day learning about the letter P and making playdough! He also said they played outside, had animal crackers and apple juice for a snack, and he played with lots of new friends and a few current friends! Little brother did okay - this time he didn't cry! He and I managed a few errands before going back to get his buddy!

Jackson and Daddy before he had to head to a class!

Matthew kept saying he was ready to go to preschool too!

Alright Mom, it's time for you to go!

First Soccer Game

Jackson had his first soccer game today - goodness those kids are so cute playing sports at 4 years old! I think he had a good time. We had one boo boo, a few tears when he didn't get the ball as much, and a time when he was ready to be done bc he was hot and sweaty BUT we also had lots of ball time, an assist (not on purpose), an almost goal (he got it in but had crossed the line), and lots of new friends! So I call that a success!

Matthew wanted to play too, so Daddy found him a ball! :)

Here's Jackson's assist! :)

Matthew sings his ABC's.....so so cute!

Matthew's little party

We also celebrated Matthew's early 2nd birthday while we were there in the mountains! I still can't believe he is going to be TWO!

These boys

While at Tweetsie Railroad, both the boys got cap guns - just what we needed....more play guns in this house!

Grandfather Mountain

We also visited Grandfather Mountain and its beauty! The weather was not too great - we got rained on a few times, but it was worth it! I would live to go back sans kids and hike some of the trails!

This was on the swinging bridge! I braved it although I am NOT a fan of heights or bridges! My mom and dad remember when it was wooden and it really did swing - No Thank You! :)

We took advantage to snap a quick picture while up there too!

Tweetsie Railroad

My parents took all of us to Tweetsie Railroad (I had not been since I was a little girl) while we were in the mountains of NC/TN. The kids were at the perfect age to take them and they are both into all things trains, so it made for a great trip! I think the boys had a blast, but honestly I think my mom had the most fun! We were afraid we might not get to go bc we woke up to rain. It finally tapered off and I think most kids had started back to school, so it wasn't very crowded!

On the train!

All the fun rides!

We got in on the action too!

Yee Haw!

A little face painting - a dinosaur for Matthew of course!

And a train for Jackson!

The petting area with deer, goats, ponies, pot bellied pigs, etc!

Fun Family Day filled with lots of memories!
