to get his brother up from his nap,

wanting to get back in the tub with his brother,

hoping brother will share his snack,

and trying to figure out how to get out there to pull those big doggie ears!

9 Month Well Baby....a little early

We had Matthew's Doc Appt today although we still have 2 weeks until he is 9 months. But they had the appt and it was a good time, so we took it! I doubt he is going to change that much in 2 weeks anyway!

His stats are:
17 pounds even and 27 inches long!
He is growing but he is low in his precentile with others his age. They aren't concerned b/c he eats good and he is a healthy little guy!

And more exciting news is that Jackson was weighed and he has FINALLY hit 30 pounds! YAY! I didn't think he would ever get there! Oh and he didn't want his picture taken....he is too cool for the camera these days!

Pool Time!

We have finally gotten a little hot out here....I actually had to turn on the AC a couple days ago. But I have NEVER lived anywhere that I could have the windows open for 2 months! It was a little slice of heaven!
So today I got out the pool....I am not brave enough to take 2 kids, ages 3 and 8 months, to a pool by myself! This will be a Saturday event with Daddy!


Jackson was throwing a fit over something....surprise surprise I know!

He was much happier out in his pool!

Matthew mostly hung out in his walker in the shade! We actually lasted out there for an hour without major breakdown!

Standing everywhere

This kiddo is standing all the time....holding onto the couch, pulling up on my pantsleg as I am trying to cook or wash bottles, up on the side of the tub waiting for his brother to get out, up in his crib when he wakes up! He has even gotten brave a couple times and has let loose of what he was holding and he stands for a couple seconds before plopping down! Growing up so so fast!

Last Day of MDO

Say it ain't so! Yes - last day of Mother's Day Out was this past week. I have both kids all day, everyday - for 3 1/2 months. but come September they will both be going! 5 hrs of me time every week! AHHH!

They had a little program (well 2 songs to sing) which I missed! BOO to missing it, but they started a few minutes early and the program probably lasted 2 minutes. But I felt like a horrible mom!
And then we all had icecream!

New Ride

Matthew took his first ride in the big boy cart yesterday! He enjoyed it much!

My Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day! I felt like I was showered with gifts all week! Here they are!

My husband got me a new netbook (bday and Mother's Day combo!)

My inlaws sent my these beautiful Kansas State Sunflowers

My parents sent me a Kohl's Gift Card

And I also received a ton of texts and calls wishing me a Happy Day!

Jackson made me so many things which I adore (he made me things at MOPS, MDO, and church). Matthew and Jackson also gave me a beautiful card.

But the greatest gift of all: My Boys! They are the ones that let me celebrate this day!

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day too!

Where's Toto??

We had our first Tornado Watch/Warning today....luckily it stayed north of us, but we did hear the siren go off - so off to the basement we went. We got lots of rain and wind, but not too long after the sun was shining bight!

8 months

We hit the 8 month mark! And boy have things changed in a month!
Matthew is crawling "the correct way" now and is getting FAST! He is pulling up and is standing some while holding on. He is babbling....close to saying mama and dada I think. AND.......sleeping through the night FINALLY! He is about 4 months later doing this compared to his brother! How nice is it to get a full nights sleep again! Now is only we can get some teeth! :)
