The start to our Living Room

We have been working on our Living Room - painting, etc. Maybe one day we will be finished with it! I still need to get rods for my curtains and get David to hang them, mount the TV on the wall, and pull out all of my pictures to see what I want to hang where?? We also need to find something to go over the mantle....keeping my eyes open.
But here it is so far!

View from the front door into the living room. The Dining room is on the left and the stairs are beyond that. Boys hall to the right and our hall to the left after the stairs.

View back toward the door of our entry way

I have been waiting to hang my boys pictures!

LOVE THEM!

View from the cut out of our Dining Room

My very blue wall!

This is going down the hall to our bedroom at the end. You can see the Dining Room cut out on the left by the stairs. Walk a little and kitchen is on the right and the laundry room and entrance to garage on the left.

oh my

this is my child for sure....
check out how he sorted all the letters by color!

Just the boys!

Here are some more pictures of the boys just being brothers!

stacking toys on Matthew's back!

kisses

love love that my boys have blue blue eyes!

this grin gets me and makes me want another one sometimes......then reality hits!

Jackson wanting to sit with his brother
*** oh and here is our new wall color by the fireplace! Still has the tape on it and the wall is still wet!

Got to be like Dad

And I am not crazy enough to let Jackson have milk in his bowl on my couch! And yes after this picture he spilled the cereal on the couch!

Sweet Giggles

always make me smile - even on the toughest of days!
(and can you hear Jackson being cranky in the background)

Brothers

Changing every day

Matthew is all about grabbing and reaching for things now when he is on his tummy! He will also hold onto things in his high chair - sometimes slinging them across the room! I don't think I am ready for this little guy to grow up so fast!

What happened.....

that my kids are in the same size at an at least 2 month difference??

I was going through some pictures the other day and found this:
Jackson with the elephant outfit on crawling....so at LEAST 6 1/2 months old

AND
Matthew in the same elephant outfit right before he turned 4 months.

That's a 2 1/2 month difference folks! Geez!

Jackson's Room

FINALLY! We have Jackson's room done! It took forever to get the other side of his bed rail from the driver of our truck....but after talking to his boss we got it within a few days! Funny how that works sometimes!

I do want to get a lamp to go on his dresser sometime.

I think David is glad he is done hanging, measuring, and getting these letters level!

New vintage airplane bedding

Bailey's new room too...she lays in here all day and night!

Our Basement

The spare bedroom/office. It is so nice that when family comes to visit that they have their own space....bedroom, bathroom, living area! I no longer feel cramped when we have visitors! Visitors ALWAYS welcome!

The office side minus the mirror for the dresser that the movers BROKE! grrrr!

Bedroom looking in at the bathroom

Bathroom from the rec room entrance

View of bath from the bedroom

David's man cave- our sitting area w/ TV. David is still trying to get all cords and devices out of sight....he is having problems with the Cable Box, so it is out still. We still need to put stuff on the walls, but I have no idea what I am going to put up yet.

Jackson (and soon to be Matthew's) play area. I LOVE LOVE having all the toys downstairs and out of view! The door at the end leads to the bedroom.

Our storage room in the basement! I LOVE IT!

The other side- still SO much to unpack and go through, but at least it is hidden!

Our own wildlife in the backyard

Our back yard looks like this a lot and we hear that there may be a deer cross through every so often!

Bath Time

Jackson's new thing is taking a bath with his brother....makes life a little easier on us too! Jackson LOVES to pour water on his brother and try not to drown him! :)

Squirrels

My Dad made the boys squirrel feeders and he hung them up when they were here. The squirrels have found them! Thanks Papa for the gifts!

Brothers

Jackson loves his brother now- except for the occasional wanting me to leave him upstairs so I can play with him downstairs ALONE! I think he may change his mind in a little bit as Matthew is rolling all over and will soon (as much as I am trying to freeze him) start crawling. I can already hear the whining from Jackson about how "baby" is playing with his toys!

Don't you love how Bailey tried to make it in this picture!

Matthew already checking out that toy Jackson has!

Around the house

Here are just a few pictures I took of the boys this week. There would be more of Jackson if he would let me take his picture.....he would rather hide from me when I get the camera out! Matthew is too little to care - for now that is!

Jackson in his cute undies! We are potty training once again - this time seems to be some what successful.

Smiling b/c his tummy is full!

Isn't he just so sweet!

Matthew has found his feet!

Bubbles

These are pictures that I am framing to go in the boys bathroom once I paint it very soon! I LOVE LOVE the picture of Jackson (he was a little older than Matthew - maybe about 5-6 months b/c I remember we were in MS). So tonight I had David work his bubble magic again and we got a few of Matthew (at 4 months).

Jackson

Matthew

Goodness - Matthew looks like a chunk compared to Jackson! lol

Men in the Kitchen.....

making Mama Oatmeal Cookies! And they are GOOD! Thanks boys!

Isn't Jackson cute in his apron Gma Akins made him!

Matthew thought he could do better!

Bailey and Harley wanted in to try to steal some cookies!
*** note the snow that turned to ice from Christmas Eve that is STILL on our deck!
