Jackson & Maddie

Maddie is my mom's neighbor's great granddaughter and her mom and I use to play when we were little.....so it is fun having kids only a month and a half apart! We went over and saw Ms. Maddie on Friday night and boy did Jackson make himself at home! Maybe it was all the little kid toys around!

They gave Jackson a really cool John Deere set of tractors!

Oh my goodness- what a Christmas! Jackson got SO MUCH he doesn't even know what to play with! Of course David and I racked up too, so no complaining on our parts! We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

Santa came!

My parents got Jackson this Power Wheel 4-wheeler and he LOVES it! My brother and dad have 4-wheelers, so he is part of the cool crowd now! Sorry David!

All for me???

Cool a race track!

Bath Time

Oh my goodness! Jackson LOVES bath time and cracks us up every night! All you have to say is "Are you ready for a bath" and he starts to strip and say "bah, bah"! We finally got it on video tonight! If you listen when he goes into the bath room - you can hear him say "bah, bah"!

More Presents for Jackson

Jackson has been showered with gifts this year. It seems like he is opening at least one every other day! We would save them all for Christmas morning, but we will have a FULL car going to NC with 2 dogs, luggage, and presents to take home. And I think he will have plenty to open Christmas morning being the only grandchild for my parents! Here are some of the pictures we have taken lately of him and his new gifts......and might I add he LOVES tearing the wrapping paper! Ahh to be a child again!
Thanks everyone for the gifts....he is loving them all!

(and I don't know why the picture sizes are different, but oh well!)
From Aunt Karen: a Bible Book with 2 CD's! SO CUTE

From Great Gma Orr: Thomas the Train Activity Box of goodies & a DVD storybook

From Alyssa: Alphabet Fridge Fun

Tearing off the paper a little at a time! Check out the mess on the floor! It is useless for me to try to keep this place picked up!

From John and Sarah: a super cool Helo that makes noise and lights up!

Jackson made buddies with John big time!

More opening - look at the serious look on his face! (And 3 pounds of what on the TV.....looks fattening!)

From Todd and Tara...and Bella: An outfit and these pill looking things that when you put them in water they turn into foam airplanes, helos, etc! He had a plane turn up tonight in the tub!

Misc Pictures of Little Boy

Just some random pictures of Jackson.....

The only way to watch cartoons in the morning!

These 2 are such pals!

Seriously....no one cooks like this in our house. I don't know where he learned this!

Birthday suggestions for Jackson....no toys, just a rubbermaid or a box to play in!

Oh Loveys

I didn't know if Jackson would ever take to a Special Lovey......but he did a few months ago! Some of you have seen it in several pictures - one being on the potty! This is what he gets at naptime and bedtime and he goes right to sleep! We don't let him take it out of the house, but there has been more than one occasion when David and I couldn't find it at bedtime. Can you say PANIC! I went to the UNC website a few weeks ago looking for a backup, but no luck. Grandpa Akins who gave it to him promised he would try to get another one in January when he had business there. I just really wanted a backup!
Well what do you know......we now have 2 backups thanks to Tara! THANK YOU THANK YOU! This was the best gift ever! She happened to find them on ebay....who would have known??

Here are his 2 new loveys....as you can see it opens up and there is a 'baby" inside. He always takes his baby out and gives it a kiss!

I didn't realize how old his looked - it is on the right in case you couldn't tell!

This is Jackson's new "baby". His bear needs some repair work done to its head (beads were starting to come out) and I haven't gotten around to it, so I stuck his new frog from Brad and Cristie in there. It has been doing the job!

Mt Vernon Christmas Party

Jackson had his Christmas Party with all the Discovery Zone friends! He had such a good time running around and playing with Avery and Evan! It was great with a ton of activities for the kids: - he did a manger scene door knob with stickers that is now destroyed
-he had his picture made in front of a nice wintery scene that they made into a magnet which turned out to be a family picture since he was not cooperating
-he attempted to color an angel ornament, but enjoyed coloring the tablecloth more and playing with the crayon box even more than that
- he did put icing on a cookie with TONS of sprinkles and ate it
- he DID NOT get his face painted (woo what a mess that would have been)
- he also loved playing with the bells and making great noise unto the Lord!
- he LOVED taking baby Jesus out of his manger and patting him on the bottom.....oh my I can already see him in his first Christmas program!

Here are some of the pictures!

YUM!

This is where the pictures were taken

Here is Jackson with Little Baby Jesus!
