Our Christmas 2010

Santa came....we must have been good this year!

The boys racked up. Jackson got his Cranky the Crane from Thomas that he has been wanting. Along with everything else under the sun including a Dr Kit, Pillow Pet, Leap Frog Leapster, Thomas the Train Roundhouse, clothes, candy, Thomas trains, games - oh my the list goes on and on!

Matthew got his bells (this is what Jackson said he wanted) and much much more including books, Pillow Pet, cars, big metal Tonka Trucks, Webble Wobble Tree House, a sit and bounce turtle, musical maracas, a push cart.....and on and on!

I also had a great Christmas. I got a picture of The Last Supper I have been wanting, a big decorative clock, floating shelves, some cast iron cookwear, clothes - just to name a little bit!
My sweet husband also had our friend and semstress, Alicia, make me the darling Flight Suit Bag/Purse! I do adore it! It is from one of David's flight suits and it just means so much! Now he has to get me my own patches for it!

David also had a great Christmas getting that Blue Ray he has been wanting with some movies for it, tools galore, clothes, etc!

Here's Papa opening one of his gifts!

And for some reason I don't have a picture of Nana opening a gift, but here she is!

And Big Grandma!

The boys thought they were through and then we had one more surprise for them in the basement! Their very own Bounce House/Slide/Ball Pit! We can't wait to have friends over to play!

We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and were able to spend time with loved ones reflecting on the the Birth of Jesus!
We are off to NC next to open more presents and have a late Christmas with my family!

Christmas Eve

I thought we should start a new tradtion this year for our boys. Since they get an ornament every year maybe they should open it on Christmas Eve and place it on the tree, so there you go....our new tradition!

Nana and Papa Jackson also sent gifts for us to open Christmas Eve....jammies all around!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Fun with Papa, Nana and "Big" Gma

The nice thing about living just a few hrs from David's family is that they come to visit a lot! They made it out this Christmas to spend a few days with us...much more uneventful then last year! Thank Goodness!
The boys sure enjoyed having them all here!

Happy Birthday Jesus

This year Jesus got Aunt Flora's Pound Cake with Cream Cheese Icing! :)

Sleepy Time

This is how Jackson goes to sleep at night - we read his story first and then he rereads it in the dark with his flashlight!
Llama Llama Red Pajama is the choice of the night!

In the dark!

And then this one THINKS he is ready for a big boy bed....umm Mamma says NO WAY!

The following 2 pics are at 8:40 am....they both woke up super early, causing lots of whining, crying and crankiness! Thankfully they both took 2 naps this day!

Mmmm Christmas Cookies

Yep you can call it lazy if you want...I call it SMART! I am sure I will do better next year, but for this year...... it was fun, not a lot of mess or clean-up, and Jackson still had the fun of decorating!

Wow I didn't ever notice how "used" my cookie stone looked!

And he's a decorating!

and some more....
Then he took a break to eat the icing straight from the bag! Yep he IS his Momma's Boy!
The ones I did.....
and Jackson's MINUS
the one he is eating!

Our Christmas Card 2010

We only ordered 50 cards this year...limiting it mainly to family! I wish I could afford to send them to everyone I cared about and knew, but I would be BROKE! So if you didn't get one I am sorry, but here it is for your viewing pleasure!! :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS from our family to yours!!

The last few days

have looked like this. Matthew has been clingy, cranky, feverish, and fussy....all over a couple front 2 teeth! Yay that 1 broke through this today and the other one seems to be right behind. Then we will have 4 teeth down and only 16 more to go....AHHHHH! This poor little guy has had a time. I think his brother had about half of his teeth by now - almost 15 months he is!

He even curled up on the couch downstairs about 4:30 and took a little snoze all by himself! And yes he has been in pj's all day, but it was just one of those days! And I do love the one sock on and one sock off look!

New stuff

I've been meaning to put this up, but here is our new piece of furniture! I have been wanting something to go in the basment to hold books, stuff, etc! I really do love it and it completes this portion of the room. I still need to get a KC135 print framed and I need to get a box for my Gpa's American Flag that I want to put on the wall next to his military picture! Ughh - will this house ever be put together??

Here is a picture of the living area of the basement....the whole other side is toys, toys toys!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

We started decorating the week of Thanksgiving this year - maybe bc we didn't even move into our house until the first week of December last year. Then we were knee deep in boxes for FOREVER before I tossed up a few Christmas decorations, a tree and tried to make this house look like a little festive!

Here is my brand new tree....my first bought tree actually! I do love it and I made it look all adult like upstairs decorated in just red and white! All new ornaments....shatter proof with little Matthew running around!

I decided baby Jesus all the other breakable wisemen, Mary, Joseph, and animals should be up high away from little fingers! I kind of need something to go on each side, but I think I have bought my limit this year, so my boys and their first pictures with Santa are up there too!

David had the idea to hang these extra ornament snowflakes in our opening from the dining room....in person it looks really good!

Just a few of my snowmen in my kitchen!

This is one of my FAVORITE Christmas decorations - it is a ceramic tree that my Gma Jackson made a long time ago! I have this in our bedroom and I love having it glowing all day!

Then there is our downstairs tree. This is actually my brother in laws OLD tree that he had a LONG time ago. So old you have to put in every branch and string all the lights! :) But I still love it and it is the kids tree! I made the lights all red and green and the ornaments on it are all the boys ones or ones that they have made! I really think it is sweet and I love remembering all the ornaments!

And then without killing himself, David got all our lights up outside!

So happy decorating to you all! I hope this season is filled with lots of color and fun!
