Mr Potato Head Pumpkins

I love me some Mr Potato Head Pumpkins....easy for the kids and no big mess! Not to mention Jackson lost interest about a mouth and a nose into it, so Daddy did the rest!

Arggg - with his Pirate Sword!

The finished product - a pirate and a vampire. No little brother since he decided to FINALLY nap during this time!

Another one down....

Deployment that is. David returned home today from his 2nd deployment - on time and with no delays! Here are a few pictures - please excuse the NASTY mustache he seems to always grow while gone! It has since been shaved and he is looking much better!

See you all in a week or so - we are going to enjoy each other for a while until he has to report back to duty!

Can you tell we are in KS...wow the wind!

Jackson was not a fan of the stache either!

Great vs Big

Great and Big mean the same I guess to a 3 year old...makes sense to me! So meet: Great Big Grandma Orr! She is anything but big...lol! He loved being able to go right next door and see her - oh the memories she will have of this! He also loved spending time with Great Big Papa. I took a picture with their camera but unfortunately I didn't with mine. Hopefully, they will email it to me so I can post it!

Wild man!

Casa Bonita

We headed out to Casa Bonita....a family tradition it seems when we visit Colorado! We thought it would be especially fun for Jackson b/c of the cliff divers, the little shows they put on, the caves and the arcade! And it was! He even ate a little too!

Jackson and Aunt Sandy

The boys with Nana and Papa

We seem to be missing someone in this picture! But we will see him soon!

Playing in the fountain.

Just a little all you can eat Mexican food....oh but the sopapillas are the best!

One of the cliff divers putting on a little fire show

The whole gang

Sandy and Matthew playing

Jackson and his cousin Ethan

Just a little cheating going on!

It's a dogs world

And if I were a dog I would want to be Lucky, Kevin or Maggie! They have it MADE!

Jackson and his best buddy Maggie!

And little Matthew with Kevin and Lucky!

Denver Rock n Roll Half Marathon

It's over...and I have the sore joints to prove it! We had a great time Rockin and Rolling with everyone in Denver!

I didn't feel as prepared for this one, but that was my fault - I don't think I trained as hard.
So the results are as follows:

I was one of 15,000 runners

Time: 2hr 17min 59sec -almost 10 minutes slower than my last one :(
Overall finish : 4,847 0f 15,000
Finish among all females: 2,855
Finish in my division (Females age 30-34): 653

Sharon did very good also despite the bronchitis she has been fighting!

Hugs for Nana from our biggest fan!

Now what's next??
I think I am doing an 8K for Jackson's Speech School in a couple weeks....other than that nothing is planned!
And I still have a goal to run a half in less than 2 hrs one day!

Visiting The North Pole!

We ventured out to The North Pole....a fun Amusement Park for little ones themed with Christmas! We had a BLAST and Jackson was in heaven! We met up with a friend that was in Mississippi with us and her 2 kids that live in the area now!

The kids rode ride after ride after ride! I hope we can come back again very soon so that Matthew can experience it like Jackson did!

Papa was brave to let him drive!

Jackson surprised me- he kept wanting to go faster and faster!

This was a really cool slide and lots of fun too!

Matthew even did this one a couple times!

Check out that smile!

Vroom Vroom

Aww- Matthew wanted a turn too!

Jackson and Ben "flying" like their Daddies!

On the "highest" ferris wheel. It was a small one but we were at the base of Pike's Peak.

Feeding the deer!

This "pole" is actually made of some type of ice! Kind of cool!

Jenny and I! So so good to see them again!

Papa and Mattie Matt taking a stroll!

Riding the train...one of his favorite rides. I think he rode it 4 times!

Seeing Santa for the first time this year. And he told him what he wanted too! :)
