We headed out to The Wild Animal Sanctuary right down the road from where David's family lives! It is a wonderful place that rescues wild animals! Some come from celebrities that shouldn't have them in the first place, circus/zoo that get shut down for abusing animals, etc. They bring the animals in and they are in these larger pens that we could see in (we were on this huge bridge overhead) where they rehibilitate them before they put them out in acres of habitat with their own species. There are 300 acres and over 200 animals at this facility and it was remarkable!
You get to carry around a binder that has all the animals and "their" story. Some of them are so so sad! I believe if you go to the link above you can also read about them.

Not this tiger but 2 others (most had 2 in an area together) were being very loud and fighting off an on! I think it had something to do with it being lunch time! :)
Jackson was not really impressed! He thought it was going to be like a zoo!
Here is a camel - he was out in the acres with some horses actually!
