Our Little Pumpkins!

I really lazied it out this year and went with stick on decorations for the kids pumpkins!  They had fun, it didn't take too long and they look cute!  I'm okay with it!  :)  And after Halloween I can take it all off and have pumpkins on my porch til Thanksgiving that aren't rotting! :)

Introducing our Sheriff, Monkey, and Owl!

This is the best picture I got....Oh well - maybe i'll try again another day!

Pumpkin Patch

My mom visited this last week and we took the kids to a local Pumpkin Patch we love!  The kids had a blast since the 2 days prior we had rain and they were stuck indoors!

Afterwards we let them pick out pumpkins to take home!  Such fun!

As we were about to leave we ran into the Byer's!  And Matthew wanted nothing to do with a group picture!

5 Months Old

I can't believe Shelby is already 5 months!  It seems to be flying by!

She still cntinues to be such a sweet baby!  She is sleeping better at nigh,t but not all night yet.  Napping is still in her swing- sigh!  She is eating like a champ!  She LOVES all food I have given her.  So far she is eating baby food twice a day!  I hope she continues to be a good eater - her brothers are SO picky!

She is also very mobile....rolls EVERYWHERE!  She is even starting to pull her knees up under her, but thankfully only gets up on her forearms and not her hands yet! :)

Too Cute

this one is! All dolled up and ready for church!

October

October is Infant/Pregnancy Loss and SIDS Awareness month. Let's take some time to remember the babies who were born asleep, or whom we carried but never met, or those we have held but could not take home, or the ones who made it home, but didn't stay.

I'm saddened to have to even be in a group like this, but I'm definitely not alone.  I honestly can't believe the friends and family who have traveled this journey as I have.....some stories much harder than others.  In the end though we all share a common bond.  We have other babies, babies we long to hold, raise, get to know, love on- that we never got the chance to!

So remember those you know who have walked this journey this month.  Let them know you are thinking about them and that we don't forget those little ones who are no longer on this earth, but will forever be in our hearts!

Earrings

I decided to get Shelby's ear pierced.  Yeah I know - some people are going to think I am crazy...that's it should be her decision.  But I thought if we did it now - I could keep them cleaned really well until they heal and I can only imagine her getting older, wanting them, getting one done and saying no way on the other one.  And I don't really want her walking around with one earring in!

I also got them done at a pedatrician's office, so hopefully the environment was very sterile!

Anyway- they are done!  I think she looks cute!  And she didn't cry nearly like she does when she gets shots!  :)

And this is how we spend our days.....rolling ALL OVER THE PLACE!

She's beginning to like her belly more that she can prop herself up on her arms.  And the last few days she is relaxing enough to lay her head down to the side and just rest!

Wings Over McConnell

We had our "every 2 years" Air Show this last weekend!  It was once again a great show with lots of loud planes and fun things to look at!

I took all the kids out, but not before making sure they all had hearing protection!  Poor Shelby's was as big as her head!  But it will come in handy at our next base when we are in the Land of the Blue Angels!

Our "normal' family pic in front of Daddy's plane!

Shelby pretty much refused to look at the camera....sigh

This is my ALL TIME favorite plane in the fleet - the B1! During the Airshow on Sunday I had my windows open at home and the B1 flew close (we aren't far from base at all) and the kids were all scared to death!  The B1 use to actually be here at this base - I imagine it's not as loud around here now!

The Golden Knights

And sadly this is the only picture I got of the Thunder Birds.  Shelby had had it by then after being there 4 hrs.....so we were walking out as they were preforming.  By the time we got to the car I had 2/3 kids crying and the one not fell asleep within about 5 minutes of being in the car!
