His 2 front teeth

I had to try to get a picture of Matthew's 2 little teeth. After the struggle to get it, I realize his nose is nasty, but oh well folks....that's my life! :)

Costumes and such

Here are some pre-Halloween pictures of the boys! Jackson is going as a Train Conductor and Matthew as a Turtle (yes this was also Jackson's first Halloween costume....I am all about recycling!)

And here is a Fireman costume we got from a friend! He was just playing!

The Thunderbirds

So we missed the Thunderbirds Saturday at the Air Show b/c of weather and I really didn't want to brave heading back out there with the kids Sunday......although I would have loved to see them!

Turns out I got both of my wishes! We were able to stand in out front yard and get a decent show of them at times - how cool is that! Of course it would have been better right there on the base, but I will take walking back in my house over taking 2 hrs to get out of the parking area! (Yep had a friend say that it took that long). That of course makes for happy kids and a very happy mom!

So here are a couple pictures I snapped!

The Air Show

We braved the Air Show today, The Byer's and I....along with 1- 3yr old, 2-2yr olds, and 1-1 year old! That was 3 adults to 4 children and 5 hrs at the Air Show and really a.l.l. w.e.n.t. w.e.l.l. The Thunderbirds were suppose to take off at 2 and at 3 we finally left as we saw the clouds a rolling in! Hopefully they can get up in the air tomorrow! I hate we missed them!

And YAY for someone finally deciding that late Sept is a great time for an Air Show and not July! The weather was perfect!

Andrew came with his Mighty B52 Buff! It was so great to see him...it had been over 2 yrs! His wife, Liz, and I were such good friends and Columbus and always together with our kids. Still friends, but it is hard to get together with so many states in between us! :( The AF giveth and the AF taketh away!

B1

Darin, Jaime, Sidney and Savannah

Us in front of the B1....one of my favorite looking planes! shhh...Don't tell my husband I said that! :) Actually I think he agrees!

The C17 that took up the jumpers.

Matthew had it made!

I thought this was very cool, but I just don't understand why people jump out of planes that aren't about to crash! :)

Us in a helicopter!

Savannah, Jackson and Sidney in the KC135!

The KC135....also known as Daddy's airplane around this house! Jackson kept trying to get me to find Daddy today. He knows Daddy is off flying, but he doesn't realize it is not just down the road! :(

The B2

A bad picture of the T1, T38 and the T6. David has flown the T1 and the T6 trainers.

Jackson with his $5 souvenir! I thought I got off easy!

Wowza- the C5 is HUGE!

I had to get a picture of the A10 for David---this was his dream airplane! :(

I brought the ear protection for Jackson but I used it for Matthew instead. Oh my the noise of the fighter jets was too too much for his little ears. Looks like I will be getting another set of these from Uncle Dee Dee when we are home!

The Hornet

Here is a video of the B1 taking off! I think this is one of the sharpest looking airplanes in the AF fleet!

A Little Matthew Video!

Mommy's Monsters

At least that is what their jammies say!

Thanks Nana A!

Duck, Duck, Goose Egg

This isn't a really good picture but Jackson managed to hit his forehead on the tile in the kitchen while clowning around. I know it hurt. And while he was balling and I was trying to calm him down....

his brother was sympathy screaming crying. Fun Fun!

Tumbling Tots

I signed Jackson up for a Tumbling Tots class. As you can see he is the only boy in this class (the other class during the week has lots of boys I am told). Not that Jackson cares if he is the only boy- his buddy, Analise, is in there so he is A OK!

So this is how the class started. My sometimes shy baby boy became super dupper shy in a new place with new kids he didn't know. And his attention span is that of a 3 year old and I was constantly making him go get back with his class! I think this just may wear me out more than him!

NOT a fan of the balance beam.....S.C.A.R.E.D!
Towards the end of the class he did start paying attention some and he actually sat in a circle at the end to stretch....well he didn't so much stretch like he was suppose to. He was stretching his foot to his mouth as he chewed on a hang nail!
And then there is the other one....I was constantly chasing b/c he has NO fear!

Where are you going when you die??

I know this is SO off my usual blog entry of my kids, my kids, oh and my kids. But we had an AWESOME morning at church and I just had to share! (And we are going back from 3-5...can someone please give Matthew the message to take a nap already. Yes he is once again playing in his crib! This should make for a fun night!)
Anyway- This is Mark Cahill! He actually played basketball at Aubrun with Charles Barkley, who he is still witnessing to today!

He puts it in perspective when he snaps his fingers time after time. Each time he does- 2 people- are dying! Are they entering Heaven or Hell?? Those are the only 2 choices! So I ask you - my 10 readers of this blog (family, friends, strangers) - Do you know where you are going? Have you at one point in your life asked Jesus to come into your heart?? There is only one way to Heaven and it is through Jesus. You can't be born a Christian, you can't just be a good person, you can't just show up at church and become a Christian - you have to admit you are a sinner and ask God to come into your heart and change you! If you haven't or you don't know....message me! I would be excited to share some things with you!
Here is a book Mark wrote....if you have doubts or questions about God then you should get it! You never know when you will take that last breath - and then it may be too late to make the M.O.S.T important decision you will E.V.E.R make!

Now to you who can answer yes that you know you are going to Heaven - who are you sharing the Good News with?? How many people are you bringing to Christ? I know I am ashamed of myself b/c I should be spreading the Word more, planting seeds, watching lives change! And maybe you are too?? So here is another book that he wrote and I just bought it. Mark says witnessing is all about conversating with people! It's really not hard, but if you are like me you will have to step out of your comfort zone! So this is the start to me stepping!

I am going to put my testimony up soon....and hopefully my husband will be willing to share his too! (I haven't really asked him yet!) tee hee!

My Latest Adventure

Yes that is right - I have signed up for another 1/2 Marathon! And no your eyes are not deceiving you - it is in Denver! And yes I must have been delerious when I signed up - I do realize there is an altitude change between there and Kansas!

My mother in law, Sharon, approached me with this one! She and I ran our first (and so far only) one together in Memphis! The thing is - she lives in that area so she is use to the altitude!

So we are 4 1/2 weeks away from the race and I feel completely unprepared compared to last time. I don't know if it is having 2 kids to juggle or what??? I am blaming it on - hitting that 30 years old mark! Yeah I blame everything on that number! I have done 9 miles (and was going to do 10 yesterday but one sick little boy changed that plan....so instead I did 6). How did I do that you ask - well my wonderful husband bought me this:

Not that I LOVE treadmills or running on them, but with his work schedule - I had to have something! And Matthew will only tolerate a couple miles in the jogging stroller before he lets it known that he H.A.T.E.S running! So when you have to peak out at 11 miles - yeah I need to get 9 more miles from somewhere!
So - this is what we are doing! I am excited! We are excited! And we are running it TOGETHER! Between Sharon's tendonitis (which the Doc just told her to try not to run for the next 2 weeks - hello Doc we are training here) and my Runner's Knee (that just doesn't want to go away) we will conquer this race....crossing the finish line together! Yep- time is out the window on this race. I just want to survive the race and the altitude without having to carry an oxygen tank with me!
Oh and visit with family for 2 weeks! YAY!

365 Days

is the difference between these 2 pictures! Oh my sweet baby turned 1 today! Oh the joy and oh the sadness! Is he my last baby? Is this the last time I will have a first birthday party? Is this my last baby book to stress about completing? Who knows, but right now we are a happy family of 4!

And one thing is still the same in these pictures....STILL NO TEETH! ahhh!
