The Behm's come to town!

Liz and Gavin were in town visiting family and they came for a last play date in Columbus (although we talked about getting our husbands to come back here on their next tour to be Instructor Pilots.....how cool would that be)! Gavin and Jackson didn't seem to take to each other like last time, but it didn't take long and they were running after each other, banging kitchen cabinets, and getting into little boy trouble! :) We sure to miss the Behm's, but we are definitely going to have to do some trips when we get to KS - only 8 hrs! Hey what is halfway between Shreveport and Wichita...something with a Target for sure, right??
It sure was good seeing you guys! Until next time......

This picture was a struggle to take!

Me at 15 weeks, 6 days and Liz at 31 weeks!

2 year check up

I took Jackson today for his 2 year check up....luckily he didn't have to have any shots! Everything went well. His weight is at 27.5 pounds and his height is 35 inches. His weight and height seems to be around the 50% for his age, but his head is coming in at the 90% - wow! He definitely has his Daddy's head! Here he is on the examining table....what a big boy! :)

15 weeks, 5 days

Here is an updated prego picture..... some of you have been asking for it! I have been feeling much better (until today). Right before David's graduation I felt normal again and stopped being sick - my magic week seems to be 14 weeks with both kiddos. What is it that just changes from throwing up one day and feeling great the next?? Unfortunately last night I wasn't feeling too great, but thought it might be something I ate. Too bad today I have gotten sick a few times, but I did pop a couple Zofran! :) I am hoping this isn't going to last and I wake up in the morning feeling great! If not, I did have a great couple weeks and accomplished a ton!
We go in 2 weeks from today to find out if we are having a boy or girl.....my guess is girl but we shall see!

The joys of moving....

Out with the old and no more new please! If there is one thing I love about the military it is moving and getting to go through your stuff. We have done this twice since we have been here and it feels so great to cleanse your house! We still have SO much stuff it seems, but I am sure we will go through it all again when we get to KS.
I sometimes think about my family- who most of them have lived in the same house for 35+ years.....yikes. My Gma passed away about a year ago and seeing what all my parents had to go through to clean out her house was rough. My parents have 2 houses and I think they are finding joy in knowing that my brother and I will have to go through them one day! Thanks a lot! :)

David had to take down our building....it was a lot easier coming down!

Our back patio now- the stuff in the building had to go somewhere.

The only good thing about your neighbors leaving is you can steal their trashcans to use!

Bailey during all of this.....just finding some shade to lay in!

The difference between men and boys...

are the size and price of their toys!
Introducing David's newest toy - our new 6x10 trailer. I will say that I am very excited about this too b/c now we can pack ahead of time and have it loaded by the time the movers come. No more U-Haul trailers for us!

Books are fun....

especially when they make noise!
This is from our GOOD friends...Brad and Cristie! It was part of Jackson's birthday present! David and I thank you that it is not another ball pit this year! But remember - you will have kids one day and we will pay you back! :)

It's tough being 2!

Being 2 must be harder than I remember b/c I found Jackson at 9:30 am on the couch sound asleep. Poor guy!
He also didn't sleep well last night. Maybe he was trying to get us to remember what it was like on his first night with us....sleepless. The only difference is this time we put him in the bed with us and he was NOT tired and continued to poke us in the face and laugh! And we are having another one...WHY??? :)

Jackson's 2nd Birthday

Jackson turns 2 tomorrow! WOW! I can't believe he is already 2....
We had his party this weekend b/c everyone was in for David's Graduation. I think we had about 20 people come in....so this little house was PACKED! Jackson got way more then he needed and he has loved each and ever gift he received, so a big THANK YOU to everyone! :)

Here is Jackson's Tonka Truck cake....fitting for a rough and tough little boy!

He was SO EXCITED when everyone sang Happy Birthday...he had a cheesy grin on the whole time! :)

Oh and he LOVED opeing all his presents. Everytime we would bring him another one he would say "ohhh"!

From Daddy and Mommy...

Uncle Brian and Jackson share the same birthday...just 42 years apart, so David thought it would be funny to have a tiny piece of cake and all these candles. Yes it about burned the house down! :)

Here is a little video of him opening his gifts! :)

*** Oh and looks like Blog will be public for a while, so no worries there! :)

Baby Update

I had a Drs Appt this morning and all went well.... heart beat sounded strong, blood pressure is still under control and we are right on track! I did get a different prescription for nausea/vomiting and it is actually a patch I will wear behind my ear.....side effect may include dilated pupil on side with patch! GREAT! But he thinks it will work - can't remember the name of it right now and it was rather long! Weight gain is at negative 3 pounds again, so I don't really have to worry about maternity clothes anytime soon! :) We have a scheduled ultrasound for April 9th at 10am to find out pink or blue! Pray baby is cooperative and will let us see! :)

*** On a side note - our blog will be going private for a month or so and then back to normal. Just something we are doing (don't ask), so comment if you would like me to send you out an email adding you to our friends list for the short time we are doing this! And I may need your email too if I don't have it! If not, no worries, you can catch up on the blog later when it is public again! :)

Snow...in Mississippi - WHAT??

That is right - they called for it and it came! We woke up this morning with a nice blanket of snow on the ground and more coming! This is a RARE sight in Mississippi! We did get out and let Jackson play in it and he seemed to have lots of fun. But as I write this it is all about gone....it didn't stay around too long. Word is that it will be close to 80 degrees by the end of next week!

We are moving to.....

KANSAS!
David got his follow-on Assignment and he will be flying the KC-135. This is a refueling plane which is what he really wanted! We are super excited to be going to Wichita, KS in a few months! If you would have asked me 6 months ago if I wanted to go there I would have said NO WAY, but we are very much looking forward to it! We think it will be a great place to have a family.....we will be living near a bigger city that seriously has 5 Targets! Yes I checked that out already!
We will get closer to David's family (they will be about 8 hrs away) and I am so happy to be a days drive to someone! He also has family in Oklahoma we haven't seen in forever! I am thinking FAMILY REUNION! We will however be further from my family, but I think they are excited for us too! I am sure they can't wait to see Kansas....I am sure my dad will love all the farmland it has to offer! And the good news is that this plane goes to several other places that would be great including good old NC....so we may be back one day! And Jackson, the dogs and I will be back sooner than that b/c I will most likely be going home while David does his next training! I hope they are ready for a crazy 2 year old that gets in more trouble than he can get out of! I will just be glad to have some backup! :)

The Sunflower State

This is exactly how I remember Kansas looking - I have driven through twice!

I believe David said that this a the Arkansas River....pretty!

This is what scares me about Kansas...Tornado Alley! YIKES

We will be living near Wichita!
