Shelby's Birthday Party

We decided to squeeze in a little party for our baby girl the weekend before our packers came on Wednesday!  We had some friends over, rented a bouncy house, ate pizza, fruit, spinach & artichoke dip and cake!  It was a beautiful day to celebrate such a special little  lady!

Thanks to my dear friend, Amy, for helping me decorate the cakes and cupcakes!

 

 She got presents galore!  We haven't given her ours yet since it's a larger item and we wanted to get moved first!  But we are getting her a Little Tikes Play House for the back yard!  I think she will love it!

Circus, Circus

Jackson had his Kindergarten Musical. It was a circus theme and he was a clown! He had a speaking part that he had down! He would even do it all theatrical and such at home and then he gets to the play and this is what he sounds like:

SCARED TO DEATH! Poor Kid! So proud of him though for going through with it!

On birthdays and moving

We seem to be packed with birthdays from March to May and then there's Matthew way in September! 

I celebrated 33 last week!  What a blessing to be able to spend the day with the whole family - a rare occurance in a military family!  David made me this yummy Reese Brownie Cheesecake!  I think the boys enjoyed it the most though with a big cold glass of milk!

Then a dear friend of mine stopped by and spent a few hours with me while her kids were in pre-school!  She brought along this delicious cake!  It is a strawberry cake that she had made for my baby shower last year.  With the upcoming move- she knew I wouldn't be getting it for a long time! 

Then she gave me these- coffee mugs so we can have our morning coffee together in a few weeks!  I'll have her name and she will have mine.  Yep it made me cry!

Speaking of moving- we leave 2 weeks from today!  We have a LOT to do between now and then!  I'm excited to move and living somewhere new.  Then there's that whole meeting new people, finding a church, finding your way around a new town, etc that I'm not looking forward to.  Looks like this is going to be our new home when we move.  I'm very excited about that!  I'm also looking forward to being 5 miles or so from the beach! 

Our current plan is for the kids, dogs and I to travel to my parents until David can get in our house (there is about a week or so between his report date and getting into the house).  And then all of us making the trip down, getting settled and unpacking 4,000 boxes!

Another birthday is only 1 week away and squeezing in a party this weekend.  How can she be turning 1 already!  Fastest year EVER!
