Scrambled Eggs vs Easter Eggs

We have a couple egg hunts this year and Friday David's squadron held one with a Pot Luck to follow! Too bad David was delayed on a trip and couldn't make it back in time! Jackson had a good time looking for eggs and was nice enough to not take them all!









He must have eggs on the brain b/c this morning when I got out of the shower David was making Jackson a scrambled egg. Not that this is unusual but he usually only eats them mixed in with his grits. David said that that is what Jackson said he wanted for breakfast. And it hit me- Jackson doesn't want eggs, he wants Easter Eggs. Sure enough he DID NOT want the scrambled egg...he wanted plastic eggs filled with candy! :)

We took Jackson to ChuckECheese for his birthday and it was a BIG hit! It is amazing how long it takes to use up 60 tokens with a 3 year old! I think we were there 3 hrs!

Where does the time go?? We just celebrated Jackson's 3rd birthday! Oh the fun he had and the presents he got! We took him to ChuckECheese for pizza and games! He L.O.V.E.D it! Then we came home for cupcakes and presents! We kept it low key this year - I am sure next year we will have to have an all out party!

And I think Jackson and the dogs are going to love it! Bailey has already tried to scare away the 5 ducks that come about everyday looking for food! And Jackson has been out hitting his T-ball and playing golf!

This could be the start to

World War 3! Matthew is loving watching Jackson's trains ride around! And that is the one thing that Jackson is protective over. Matthew got a hold of a train the other day and tried to chew it-Jackson got upset! Matthew may be as excited as Jackson when he opens his bday presents this week to find more stuff for the train table! :)

He is trying his hardest to sit up by himself....I am sad to think of the swing having to be put away soon!

Well Baby Checks

I took both the boys today for their Well Baby Check Ups! All went well except I don't know how people have more than 2 kids......my 2 exhaust me!

Jackson had his 3 year check up and all looked great! He is a healthy little boy! We are going to get him into a Speech Therapist to see if he is where he needs to be, but the Doc assured me that boys are slower to develop than girls and it sometimes takes them to school age to talk really well. But since I am concerned - she is referring me over! He has gained a few inches in a year - 38.75 inched now, but he is holding strong at 29.5 pounds! I don't think the boy will ever hit 30 pounds!

Matthew had his 6 month Well Baby Check Up and he is also doing great- right where he needs to be developmentally! He has had an issue with eczema since he was born and he is having a flare up right now, so we got some stronger meds for that (a steroid actually, which I am concerned about) but to get it under control I guess we will have to use it once in a while. Other than that he is growing growing up: 15.4 pounds and 26 inches is what he was today! At this rate he will be as big as Jackson before long!

6 Months

Matthew is at his 1/2 Birthday mark! He is trying his hardest to figure out how to get on all fours and get his legs moving, would like to figure out how to sit up, and it just wanting to be on the move! He is really starting to interact with Jackson....laughing at things he does, etc!
He is teething right now, so nights have been rough here and there. But he isn't taking a bottle anymore at night - it is more of a run in and give him his paci to get back to sleep and maybe some orajel! He is still loving his real meals, but I think the bottle is still his favorite - don't let him see it or he will fuss until he gets it!

The Park

We finally made it to the park in our neighborhood the other day bc the weather was so nice. I forgot my camera but I did get these with my phone! Jackson and I are both ready for Spring!
