That's the temperature here this week.....I'm officially ready for Fall! But until then we have to keep cool somehow and that means lots of pool and splash pad time with our friends!

A little More T-ball
It's hard to believe we have only 3 more games until T-ball is over! Jackson is REALLY enjoying playing, so maybe we will sign him up for soccer in the fall to see if he likes that too!
Here are Jackson and his buddy, Dillon, going after the same ball! I think Dillon ended up with it!
Little man at bat!
Run, Jackson, Run! On his way to 3rd base!
He's ready! Just like Daddy showed him!

VBS Family Day
Warning: LONG VIDEOS of Jackson singing and dancing! We had a few special people that I know would have loved to have been there including Grandparents, so this is for them! I didn't want them to miss a thing!
VBS was a success this year! We had 25 kids come to know Christ and accept Him as their Lord and Savior! Since it was a Beach Blast theme we had a Beach Party (Kansas Style) outside afterward! Right now I have 2 sleepy wore out boys napping!
It's a Beach Party!
Matthew enjoying his favorite thing in the world besides Daddy and a basketball - A Cookie!
Having fun at the Beach Blast Party!
Here is Jackson going down the big slide with his friend Addie!
And Heather's son, Bret, was nice enough to take Matthew down!

VBS
We are having FUN FUN at VBS this year! Jackson is loving being with his BFF, Ayden (who is in the videos too), everyday and they are both loving the songs we are singing during rally!
He comes home and sings "O Happy Day" - I love it! Thankfully I was able to keep quiet during this song, bc you really didn't need to hear me singing on here!
Here is the A(Admit you are a sinner)B(Believe that Jesus is Lord and Savior)C(Confess your sins to Him) song for VBS this year! We are doing a Beach Blast theme if you couldn't tell!

Little T-baller
Matthew walks around ALL day talking about baseball! Too bad he has about 2 more years before he can play! :( Until then the back yard will have to do!

Fielding
At practice tonight, Coach Jason, had the kids working on fielding and getting the ball to first base! It actually went over good and I think the kids are getting the idea of what to do! Here is Jackson!
Then Jason was hitting it to them a little to the left or right and was trying to teach them to get in front of the ball! So he would tell them to put their belly button "on the ball"! So Jackson took that literally and after missing the ball he ran after it and laid on the ball! LOL! At least he was listening, right??

More Tball
Here is another video of Jackson hitting so you don't have to turn your head. Last night he hit the ball first try getting up to bat twice! He's learning how to use that big boy bat for sure! :)
Please excuse the Proud Mama Screams! :)

And so it begins
T-ball that is! I L.O.V.E it! The kids are so so cute, so innocent, could care less about competition and being the best, but just having a good time! I am very grateful that Daddy was able to be here too - he seems to miss a lot of firsts! This one is especially important though bc David played sports growing up and is something he wants for his kids if they want it!
Daddy helping him with that no so broke in glove!
Here he is at bat.....grr that I had my camera turned! Sorry but you have to tilt your head! I will try to do it right at the next game! Oh he was SO SO proud running to 1st!
On third!
Daddy was trying to show him how to get ready in the field......and it led to
playing in the dirt! :)
He finally walked off the field midgame and told me he didn't like baseball anymore, then started to cry/whine a little. I finally got out of him that he wanted to get the ball! :) Of course as he was talking to me a ball would have gone right to him! So he got back on the field and thank goodness a ball came right to him and he got it! He held it in the air and turned to me with the biggest smile on his face! I guess he likes baseball again!
Jackson with some of his best friends: Dillon and Kambree!

Matthew praying
Matthew will now pray "a little"! It's always for Mommy and Daddy, but let me tell you with this kid - Mommy needs all the prayers she can get! :)

First Fish
We had our Summer Squadron Picnic this week and despite the heat I think everyone had a great time! It was hosted by our Honorary Commander at I am assuming their family "farm" complete with a bar-b-que and icecream. There was so much to do including miniature golf, basketball, shuffleboard, a bouncy house, paddle boats and of course fishing!
I think we did it all and Jackson caught his 1st, 2nd and 3rd fish ever! So So glad Daddy was there to not only bait the line, but to take the fish off too! :)

The North Pole
We headed back to The North Pole - what a fun place for the whole family, but especially little ones! Here are just a few of the pictures I took!

A little Getaway!
David and I were blessed with being able to go away one night while the kids had a great time with Nana and Papa! In fact - Jackson didn't want to see us the next day, so I guess he is okay spending some time away from us!
We were trying to figure out what to do bc we are always with our kids (this was actually my first night away from Matthew EVER and he will be 2 in about 3 months), but we managed to have a great time!
First we went to Garden of the Gods (my 2nd trip) and walked around - then found some trails to hike on! What an absolute beautiful place!
Here are the Kissing Camels
And this looks like a buffalo head
Then we managed to find the Olympic Training Center, but tours were already closed for the day.

Colorado Vacation
We just returned from Colorado! What a wonderful, fun filled vacation! Now I need a vacation from my vacation!
The first couple days we spent in the Mountains at the YMCA Camp by Granby! It is a good thing we brought our winter gear bc it rained, hailed, sleeted and snowed! But the views are spectacular!
We spent most of our time indoors! And I think we pretty much had the camp to ourselves! NO one was there!
We are going to plan an Akins/Orr Family vacation there next year! I can't wait to go back.....but in the middle of summer for sure!
