We went to our first family hockey game on Sunday! Jackson's best friend, Ayden, had his 5th birthday party there! The kids seem to have a LOT of fun....well Matthew at least! I am thinking we may keep him away from it for a while since he was chanting all the chants (luckily they were the acceptable ones - earmuffs for sure the next time we go)! Jackson would have had a better time if he wasn't so tired! See - him and his Daddy stayed up late the 2 nights prior watching movies and having a grand ole time!
I guess our local team, the Thunder, is pretty good too! We have a few friends that are season ticket holders and they did win 4-2!

Little Miss has a hat!
I finally got around to crocheting Miss Shelby a little hat for her little head! I seem to have a list that is never ending and I start things, but am having a hard time completing them! ughh- SO NOT LIKE ME!
Last week David was gone on a TDY, so I made myself finish projects outstanding!
I got the hat crocheted, the baby's room painted, the carpet cleaned and the furniture arranged. Jaime came over and we decided on what I wanted where. We are going with a decal instead of painting a tree bc it will be easier and it was cheaper in the long run (who knows when we will be getting orders to leave here). We have painters tape up where everything is going- decal, floating shelves on either side of the window, her name hanging above her crib, maybe a mirror in there too. So I ordered the mural and I need to make a trip to Hobby Lobby next week to get some things. David's mom has started the bedding - my fil will be here for business in early March and her goal is for him to bring it with him. That means the nursery could be completed by middle of March.....YAY!
I also finished our taxes for the year.....yay for that being done and over with.
So I feel somewhat accomplished or the week.....somewhat! The list never ends though.....

Signs of Spring
I have noticed that some of my really early Spring flowers are starting to sprout out of the ground! I think I am ready - ready for warmer weather and more color in my yard! :)
Yeah that's our drip line for our sprinkler system we got in the fall- we need another couple loads of mulch to cover everything up...it's on the never ending list of things to do! :)

Our first good snow
of the year and really of this season! We got it all through the night on Sunday (about 3 inches) and Monday was busy with Preschool and a Doctor's visit (hello ear infection for Jackson), so we didn't get out in it to play. But we did today and the boys had a blast! Good thing we did too bc the snow had really melted when they got up from their naps!
Jackson is very sad that it is almost gone - he is FOR SURE his father's son. David LOVES winter and the snow!
My little loves!
Check out these turn of events.....Matthew throws snowball at Jackson.
Jackson returns one back.....
Yep - Jackson has good aim!
Our pitiful snowman! It seems as though it was rollable yesterday- today not so much!
Me trying to hit Jackson with a snowball!

Feburary 2nd
will always be a tough day for me. See that's the day my sweet babe was due - the one we miscarried in June. As the day approaches tomorrow I reflect back on the hard hrs, minutes and days I have had. Yes, time does heal the pain, but the emptiness of missing that little one is still there. In my heart I am forever a mom of 4, not just 3!
I finally feel like I "know" why this was in God's plan for us and especially for me. See our family has had tragedy lately too and I feel like if I can connect in the tiniest of ways, then maybe just maybe I can lend some comfort to those that I love so dearly! And not only to this situation, but I have had 4 friends lose sweet ones since and just being there, crying with them, and letting them know you know helps- I think.
I am beyond grateful for the friends that helped me through b/c they had "been there". It's not an easy road to travel, but it is one that you can walk with the love and support of the ones around you.
So until I get to hold you in my arms sweet one - rest in Jesus' arms! I am sure it's a mighty glorious view up there.
