Movie Time

Here is what Jackson does when he picks out a movie to watch. It can literally take half a day. He has to "read" the back and the inside to make sure it is really the one he wants!

Day and Night

Jackson is very into matchbox cars right now - he has one in his hand most of the day! He has even been using Mommy's big ole belly as his race track - Nice!

And here he is sweet and sleeping......not really! He is just recharging his battery! :)

37 weeks and 3 days

I am officially in NEW territory! By this time with Jackson I was at home with a 1 week old - bags already under my eyes! I really don't know how my body should be feeling, but I am feeling pretty good. Sometimes I feel like a wishbone being pulled, but I guess the little guy is starting to drop into place. I have had just a couple contractions - nothing major....but am also told his is the norm by this time in pregnancy.

I did go to the Doc today - weekly now - and all is well. Baby is sounding good and measuring a little less, but they say that he is under my ribs some, so no true reading. My blood pressure was up last week but this week it was back to normal, so no concerns there. I thought they may check me today, but they didn't. Weight gain is normal- I have gained about 24 pounds, so I am good with that! Induction is still scheduled for the 9th unless he comes before then and David is done with training. If he is postponed - we can alter the induction date!

This is all the news to report for now- won't be long now!

37 weeks, 3 days

I have been meaning to post these- but my mom made me this beautiful baby blanket!

And here is the diaper wreath she made also- we are going to hang it on my door at the hospital!

Swinging

It is about all I can do to keep him out of the baby swing and bouncy seat. I think I may have some problems with Jackson being gentle with his little brother! :)

Baby Shower

My Aunt and Cousins threw me a Baby Shower last weekend and we had the most fun! Thanks to all the wonderful gifts and company! Here are a few pictures from the day!

Splish Splash

I got in Jackson's little pool with him the other day and I will admit that the water felt SO good on a hot and humid day. He had a blast splashing Mama! :)

Doodlebug Designs

Everyone has to check out Doodlebug Designs.....the button to her blog is on the right! She is a dear, dear person that I went to church with in MS (Jenifer)! She has the sweetest little girl that David and I use to watch in the nursery! Oh how I miss seeing her!
But please check out her blog, her business and her giveaway!

Never say Never

I had always said that I would NEVER own a Mini Van....this was several years ago. But after having one kid and seeing the room a car seat takes up...it began to cross my mind. Then after visiting David's family when Jackson was 9 months and seeing the ease it made on a mom (his Gma has one) - I was hooked. Not to mention they get good gas mileage and they have improved in looks. It also crossed my mind- if anyone comes to visit and I have to pick them up from the airport- I have room for one person...hmmm that isn't going to work. My parents and David's parents usually travel in pairs!

So we took the plunge this week and bought a Honda Odyssey.....and we really love it. Although David wasn't here with me- he helped me through the whole process thank goodness! We have to take it back next Friday to get the towing package put on, so that we can move our trailer to KS in a few months. We ended up not getting the model with all the bells and whistles (we got the mid grade model), but are hoping to put in an Entertainment Package in the near future. Right now we have one that straps to the headrest for Jackson, so we will be good for a while!

So here is the newest member to our family (seriously they can be called that as much as vehicles cost these days) : Our 2009 Honda Odyssey!

Nothing says I'll be turning 30 and I have 2 kids like buying a Mini Van...guess we all have to grow up sometime!

Happy Happy Birthday Bailey

My little, big girl is turning 4 today! I can't believe we have had her for that long. We got her at 7 weeks old and she weighed about 15 pounds already (more than Harley who weighs 11). Within a week Harley could walk under her and she continued to gain about 5 pounds a week! Now she is somewhere between 130-140 pounds and the biggest chicken there is!

We really couldn't ask for a better dog- she is lazy, enjoys her walks and her food, is the most gentle dog with Jackson, and a best friend to David and I. Not to mention she may be the only daughter I ever have! :)

Here are some pictures of her through the years! We took SO many b/c she grew SO fast!

This was the day we brought her home!

Growing....

She still wants to do this!

Still trying to grow into her ears and feet!

Finally to big to go under the bed- she got stuck!

Pals!

This was Bailey's best friend (Champy got terribly sick and was put down just last week)....makes me so sad thinking about this!

They do love each other!

Bailey- Jackson's chair is TOO SMALL for you!

A boy and his dog!

Friends forever!

I Yearbooked Myself!

A lot of my friends have been yearbooking themselves @ www.yearbookyourself.com, so I finally did it for myself! They have dates every 2 years from 1950-2000 I believe. I decided to just do 1950,60,70,80,90, and 2000.....so here is what I would look like back in the day! This completely cracks me up. I think I will yearbook David a little later- so stay tuned to his pictures!

1950 - I'm glad this style hasn't come back!

1960 - I think my mom had hair like this! :)

1970 - I totally couldn't pull off the afro!

1980 - This was the year I was born.

1990 - eww is all I can say about this.

2000 - I graduated in 1998 and my yearbook picture was VERY SIMILAR! Crazy!

Go to the site and yearbook yourself or someone else! You will get a TON of laughs!

More Trouble

This is later in the morning after the powder incident below! GRRRR
When he showed it to me at first he said "Ta Da".......seriously he was proud!

How to get a spanking from Mama

My child is bound and determined to make me grey before I turn 30......if there is something to pour out - he does it. This is what I found this morning while I was dusting. Just seconds earlier he was on the couch watching tv. This is baby powder- thank goodness. I am sure I will look back and laugh one day, but not happy with him at the moment. And yes he got one big ole spanking. I guess the bright side is that the room smells good.

Jackson visits a local farm!

We took Jackson to a local farm (and folks we have known for years) to check out their animals and have some of their homemade icecream. He had the best time seeing animals he had never seen before!

He LOVED chasing the chickens!

I thought this goat was so cute!

He made friends with the donkey very quickly!

For your protection and mine.......

Jackson will carry his gun with him everywhere. I think I better sign him up for his Concealed Handgun Permit.
Here he is getting his haircut today- gun in one hand, but time for a sucker in the other!

Stick Em Up

What little boy doesn't need a six shooter?? I mean he already has his NC Lifetime Hunting and Fishing License, as well as being a Lifetime NRA Member!

Another Little Project

I am trying out different things with crocheting right now and I decided to whip out this scarf for my mom. It literally took me about 3 nights to do - so quick and I think it turned out good! I like how one side looks more cream colored and the other more blue!

You can learn a lot about a person...

Okay- so I got behind this car on the way to my Doc Appt and I had to take a picture (and yes I was at a stop light when I did)! You can learn a lot from a person from the bumper stickers and magnets on their car! Here is what they said since I know you can't read them:

Foxy Grandma
I (heart) Elephants
I (heart) my Chihuahua
Born to Shop
Peace Begins with Me
Gas Prices Stink
Chihuahua Mom
The Yellow Ribbon for our Military
The Pink Ribbon for Breast Cancer

Anyway I thought it was all kind of funny!

SURPRISE

I thought I was going to play Bunko with some friends I use to work with (and we did), but they also had me a SURPRISE Baby Shower! How fun! I will have to say it was the most fun Baby Shower EVER! Thanks girls! Here are some of the pics from the night!

Yummy Cup Cakes

I look really tired in this pic- oh well I was! :)

LOVING the letters! Thanks Melissa! I can't wait to put them up!

Gifts!

All set up for Bunko!
